Soil and climatic requirement:

Soil: Sandy loam soil are recommended for early crop and clay loam recommended for late crop.  but this can grow wide range of soil, Ideal pH  is 6.0-7.0.

Climate: It grow well in moist and cool climate. This can sustain to low temperature. 10-25 degree C is the optimum temperature for cultivation of Cauliflower.

Planting season: For early crop- May to june, main crop July - Aug and late crop sep-oct.

Spacing: Early crop: 45x45 Cm and for Late crop: 60x60 cm.

Depth of sowing: 1 cm

Germination period: 8-10 days

Hours of sunlight required: 6 hrs of full sun

Irrigation: watering should be provided to crop every 4-7 days to the early planting and 10-15 days for late cropping. At head formation stage enough moisture should be required.  

Canopy management:

Companion crops: Beans, Celery, Oregano, Peas and  Tomato

Seed treatment: Seeds treat with hot water for about 1 hr.
